Matthew Wood
Chairman
Matthew Wood has more than 17 years experience in the resource sector with both major and junior resource companies and has extensive experience in the technical and economic evaluation of resource projects throughout the world. Mr Wood’s expertise is in project identification, negotiation, acquisition and corporate development. He has a BSc Honours degree in geology from the University of New South Wales (Australia), and a graduate certificate in mineral economics from the Western Australian School of Mines. He is currently a Director of several ASX-listed companies. Mr Wood is a member of the AusIMM.
Joe Burke
Chief Executive Officer
Mr Burke has over 22 years experience in business operations, management and project development within the Asia-Pacific region. He has an extensive background in business development with multi-national companies and was part of the team that sold Hunnu Coal to Banpu in 2011 for approx. $500M. Mr. Burke has assisted with the financial and operational assessment of new projects, coordinated due diligence activities and vendor negotiations across the Garrison Capital stable of companies. He holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
George Lkhagvadorj Tumur
Operations Director
George Lkhagvadorj Tumur has 19 years mining industry experience focused on mining and mineral processing of base metals and coking coal. He has worked for major Mongolian mining companies covering a range of commodities, including copper, gold and fluorspar. George has recently helped develop a large coking coal mining operation in Southern Mongolia. He holds a technical degree in mineral processing from the Industrial Technical School in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine, BSc in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and MSc in Mining and Earth Systems Engineering both from the Colorado School of Mines in the USA.
Nicholas Lindsay
Non Executive Director
Nicholas Lindsay has over 20 years experience in the global mining industry, with a focus on the technical and commercial assessment, and the development of new business opportunities in a range of commodities including copper, gold and iron ore in Australia, South Africa, South America (Chile, Peru and Argentina) and the Former Soviet Union. He has worked in both the major and junior mining sectors, and as an Independent Consultant based in Chile, a country with which he has a long association. He has a BSc Honours degree in geology and an MBA from the University of Otago (New Zealand), and a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa). Dr Lindsay is a member of the AusIMM.
Tim Flavel
Non Executive Director
Tim Flavel is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, with more than 20 years experience in the mining industry and accounting profession both in Australia and overseas. Mr Flavel currently assists a number of resources companies operating throughout Australia and Africa with financial accounting, stock exchange compliance and regulatory activities. Mr Flavel is currently a Director of several ASX-listed companies.
